Mario's Star is an item in Luigi's Mansion and its Nintendo 3DS version.

Description[]

Mario's Star resembles either a Power Star or a Starman, as it is a five-pointed star with a pair of black eyes.

In Luigi's Mansion[]

Mario's Star is one of Mario's five missing items that Luigi has to find and present to Madame Clairvoya, the other four being Mario's Glove, Mario's Hat, Mario's Letter, and Mario's Shoe.

Mario's Star appears in the Observatory. It is not seen at first, but after Luigi launches a Shining Ghost into the moon, a solid path made of cosmic dust appears, and Luigi can walk all the way across to obtain Mario's Star on the other side.

Collecting Mario's Star plays the exact sound effect from Super Mario 64 for when the player selects a mission.

Trivia[]

Mario's Star is the only one of Mario's items to not appear in a different room in the Nintendo 3DS remake's Hidden Mansion.
