Mario Kart

Maple Treeway is the third course in the Star Cup of Mario Kart Wii. It takes place in a lush forest during fall. The track spans through the forest and across very large trees back into the forest where the finish line is. Wigglers appear towards the middle of the course, and must be avoided. There are also some leaf piles (like those from Super Mario Galaxy) which can contain a Banana Peel, a Mushroom, or even a Star. It also reappears in Mario Kart Tour as part of the Halloween Tour 2020.

Shortcuts[]

There are several shortcuts on this track. The first one is located at the beginning of the track. Racers travel beside a fenced area to their right at the beginning, but there is one area without a fence. If racers go through the area without the fence, there is a shortcut with Item Boxes and Boost Pads. This shortcuts leads directly to the cannon and essentially cuts everyone else off. The second shortcut is located near the end of the track. As racers trick off of the wavy net, there are two trees with ramps on both sides. There are Item Boxes on either side and Boost Pads located at the ends of these ramps where you can trick off of.

Mario Kart 7[]

Maple Treeway returns in Mario Kart 7 as a Retro Course and the last course in Leaf Cup. One of the main differences is that the cannon now allows the player to glide just like in Airship Fortress and Waluigi Pinball. The branch leading to the half-pipe has been smoothed out to reduce the risk of falling off. Also the blue speed ramps on the side of the half-pipe have been removed but a wooden ramp at the end of the pipe replaces them. The wavy net has also been removed and replaced with a hang-gliding section.

Mario Kart Tour[]

Several shots of the remastered version from Mario Kart Tour

Maple Treeway was added to Mario Kart Tour starting with the Halloween Tour. The track is based on the version from Mario Kart 7, though slightly shortened, and had changed the leaves and trees to a much more vibrant orange. There are also an R, T, and R/T variant of it. The house on the lake below the cannon section was removed and the roofs of the other houses also were changed to a brighter turquoise. Additionally, pumpkins appear everywhere and can be used to keep a combo going.
