Maizō are crab-like enemies in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3.

Physical description[]
A Maizō is a six-legged crab. In its artwork, a Maizō is shown to have a red body.
Behavior[]
A Maizō always carries a 10 Gold Coin. At first, a Maizō remains hidden in the sand until Wario performs a Ground Pound nearby, and in doing so, a Maizō jumps out of the sand to reveal itself. After doing so, a Maizō becomes briefly stationary before rushing to try and escape Wario. Even if a Maizō flees offscreen, it eventually respawns in the sand.

Maizō are encountered in the Rice Beach level Course No.06. Wario can obtain a Maizō's 10 Gold Coin by using a Body Slam onto it.
