Magma Mayhem is a Free-for-All mini-game in Mario Party 9 and Mario Party: The Top 100.
Layout[]
The minigame takes place on a swinging, round platform hanging from a chain above the magma.
Gameplay[]
The minigame in Mario Party 9's Perspective Mode
The characters have to try and knock all of their opponents off of the platform and into the magma below within a 60-second time limit. As the characters move, the platform tilts. If too many characters are in one spot, the platform can tip on their side, leaving them vulnerable to falling off. The characters can attack their opponents from either jumping onto them, punching them, or kicking them, with the latter two moves knocking the targeted character back. Any character who falls off the platform is eliminated. Whoever is the last character remaining is the winner. If the minigame reaches the end of its time limit and at least two characters are remaining, all remaining characters tie for first place.
Magma Mayhem is one of the minigames in Perspective Mode. Here, aside from the camera being focused on the player's character, the gameplay is otherwise the same.
