Luigi's Mansion is the mansion that Luigi wins in the game Luigi's Mansion, the game in which it is first mentioned. Luigi receives notification of his having won a contest he had never entered, the mansion being the prize. Upon reaching the location, he finds the place full of ghosts, most notably Boos, and learns that his brother, Mario, who had arranged to meet him there, has been captured.

The mansion is also featured in Mario Kart DS, where it is a track in the Mushroom Cup. The track contains a short section through part of the mansion not featured in Luigi's Mansion before an outside section reminiscent of the Graveyard in that game. The track is also included in one of the missions, where the aim is to drive through it backwards. It is also featured in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, where it is a battle stage with multiple levels and Bowser/Boo paintings on the walls.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl contains the mansion as a stage. It is displayed side-on and cut away, with rooms inside visible, which is where the characters can fight. It is possible to destroy the pillars holding the building together, whereupon it collapses; it will, however, be rebuilt after a while.
