"Lost Dog" is the twenty-first live-action segment of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!. It is paired with the animated episode "Two Plumbers and a Baby."
Plot[]
Luigi is busy practicing his bird whistles much to Mario's annoyance Before an argument can get underway, Pam Matteson enters the room in an upset state. The Marios inquire about what is wrong and she explains she lost her dog, Ike.
Mario and Luigi attempt to console her but most of the attempts fail. Finally, Mario attempts to find Ike in the refrigerator and Luigi gets the idea to summon Ike with dog calls. Luigi attempts to make the calls but ends up bleating like a sheep and grunting like a pig. Finally, Pam is asked what breed of dog Ike is. She explains he is a poodle/basset hound mutt. Luigi makes a more specific call and the dog comes. Unfortunately, his calls were too effective and even more dogs were called in.

- This is the second episode that Pam Matterson appears in with a theme of dogs, let alone in general, the first being "Cher's Poochie," in which she portrayed Cher.
