WarioWare

Local News is a recurring microgame in the WarioWare series. It first appears in WarioWare: Smooth Moves as of Penny's microgames, and it returns in WarioWare Gold as one of Young Cricket & Master Mantis's microgames.

Gameplay[]

The object is to keep the microphone in front of the interviewee's mouth while they are being interviewed. When the text gets smaller, player has to readjust the microphone. If the microphone is consistently held in front of the interviewee's mouth, the player wins. However, if the letters get too small, the interviewee gets angry, and the player loses at the microgame. In WarioWare Gold, Local News is a double-length microgame.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves[]

  • Level 1: The player has to interview a baseball player, who does not move, If the player loses, the baseball player is only show to be angry.
  • Level 2: The player has to interview a polar bear, who moves its head left or right. If the player loses, the polar bear roars at the camera.
  • Level 3: The player has to interview an old lady, who moves around constantly. If the player loses, the old lady performs a fighting pose.

WarioWare Gold[]
