Li'l Brrs, (also called Brr Bits), are ice enemies that primarily appear in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2. They are icy crystal-like creatures that vent out clouds of ice from their heads. Li'l Brrs are often seen lingering around however if Mario/Luigi approaches them, they ignite their icy cloud from their head and start chasing the plumbers. To defeat one, Mario/Luigi will need to use a Star Spin to put out the icy cloud surrounding it, from there, it will fall to the ground stunned. If the plumbers are not quick to hit the Brrr Bit while it is vulnerable, it will start to hop around, attempting to jump into Icy Water and regenerate its ice cloud. Li'l Cinders are the fiery counterparts of Li'l Brrs.
Battle[]
If they touch Mario, he will be encased in ice for a few moments and invulnerable to attacks until he breaks free. To defeat a Li'l Brr, just Star Spin next to them to reduce them to stones. Then kick or stomp the stone. However, if Mario kicks the stone into Icy Water, the Li'l Brr is reformed. Also, when the Li'l Brr is reduced to stone, it can bounce around until it hits a source of water, so Mario/Luigi has to move fast to defeat it.

Super Mario Galaxy[]
A Brrr Bit
Li'l Brrs first appear in Super Mario Galaxy. In this game, they are first seen in the Freezeflame Galaxy and they are ruled under Baron Brr. They can be seen again in the Toy Time Galaxy in the ice section. Li'l Brrs are usually seen hanging idly around there areas until Mario/Luigi approaches at which point, they will start chasing him. A Li'l Brr can be briefly stunned briefly with a Star Spin which will reduce it to a crystal-like stone, in this state, the Li'l Brr will start bouncing around in hopes of finding Icy Water. If the Li'l Brr lands in Icy Water, it will regenerate so the plumbers must be quick to hit the Brrr Bit while it is in this form. Upon defeat, a Li'l Brr will drop a Coin.
Super Mario Galaxy 2[]

Li'l Brrs return in Super Mario Galaxy 2. In this game, they can be found in the Freezy Flake Galaxy and the Battle Belt Galaxy. Since Icy Water isn't in Super Mario Galaxy 2, Li'l Brrrs cannot regenerate this way. Just as before though, Mario/Luigi can beat a Li'l Brr by Star Spinning near them and them running into the stoney Li'l Brr to finish it off.
Trivia[]
- Li'l Brrs are similar to Iceads from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team in the sense that both have ice-based attacks and both have a fiery counterpart (the Icead's being the Magmad).
- With their ice cloud, Li'l Brrrs resemble Embers with white eyes. However, Embers are fire creatures, while Li'l Brrrs are Ice creatures. They also resemble Ice Elemental Ghosts from Luigi's Mansion and Freezies from the original Mario Bros..
- Li'l Brrs also resemble the Ice Packs that the Sniffle Thwomps wear in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and it's remake.
- A planetoid in the Battle Belt Galaxy is also shaped like a giant Li'l Brrr.
