Lemon Drops (also called Slime Drops) are enemies first appearing in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. They look like goopy, yellow gumdrops, and break off of Salvo the Slime when he is hit, but not normal Slimes. Lemon Drops aren't very tough however and can easily be beaten with most attacks.

History[]

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island / Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3[]

Lemon Drops

Three Lemon Drops.

Lemon Drops are first seen in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and later go on to appear in Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. In these games, they appear as semi-common enemies appearing in Salvo the Slime's Castle and Prince Froggy's Fort. They emerge from the ceiling and upon hitting the ground start slowly moving towards Yoshi, they can be defeated with either swallows, stomps, or by tossing an egg at them. Lemon Drops are also shown to be immune to Spikes as they can land on them without an issue. Their leader Salvo the Slime appears as the boss of World 1, he was an ordinary Lemon Drop who was enlarged by Kamek's magic, larger versions of Lemon Drops called Slimes also appear in these games.

Trivia[]
