Laser Snifits are a subspecies of Snifits featured in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its Nintendo 3DS remake Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. Here, they are are encountered in Beanbean Kingdom's university, the Woohoo Hooniversity.

Physical description[]

Laser Snifits wear lab coats and have electric pacifier-like rays in their mouths, allowing them to shoot laser rings.

History[]

Laser Snifits were the first enemies to be encountered by Mario and Luigi in the Woohoo Hooniversity, shown after the Beanish folk explained about the professors that turned into monsters by Cackletta and Fawful in Woohoo Hooniversity. Following his explanation, the professor gets turned into the first Laser Snifit, forcing Mario and Luigi to kill him in a battle. In the remake, this Laser Snifit gives the Jumping Boots Badge to Mario and Luigi upon being defeated.

Battle[]

In the battle, Laser Snifits shoot rings with their electric ray. These rings must be jumped over. When they get to close and shoot the ring, it is unnecessary to jump through the ring as the targeted plumber will be hit if he jumps.

Laser Snifits are Level 14 enemies that have 20 HP, a Power of 46, a Defense of 40, a Speed of 50. They can be healed through lightning damage (but take normal damage from other attacks) and have a 30% chance of being stunned (barring first strikes from hammers), a 30% chance of being burned, and full chance of succumbing to STAT-Down effects. Upon their defeat, Laser Snifits give 20 experience and four coins, and drop a standard Mushroom in 121 of 1250 cases.
