Large Circus Balls are larger variations of Circus Balls used by Lemmy Koopa during his battles. They are usually more bouncy and more hazardous, due to their larger size, it is often much harder to reach Lemmy when he is way atop a Large Circus Ball, often times to reach him, the plumbers will have to bounce off smaller Circus Balls summoned by Lemmy himself.
History[]
New Super Mario Bros. Wii[]

The Mario Crew up against Lemmy on his larger-than-life Circus Ball.
Large Circus Balls are first seen in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Here, they are used by Lemmy Koopa during his battle in World 3-Castle, when the plumbers approach Lemmy, he is standing on a Circus Ball with dozens of stars imprinted on it only ever so slightly larger than a normal Circus Ball until Kamek arrives and sprinkles his magic across the arena making the Circus Ball even larger, during the battle, Lemmy rides on the Large Circus Ball launching smaller Circus Balls down at the plumbers. Due to it's larger size, instead of rolling the Large Circus Ball, Lemmy bounces around the arena on it. With either bounces on the bouncing Circus Balls or the effects of a Propeller Mushroom, the plumbers can reach Lemmy and stomp him, this causes him to drop the Large Circus Ball and spin around the arena in his shell three times before emerging with a new Large Circus Ball, after two hits, Lemmy's Large Circus Ball grows even bigger but after three hits, Lemmy is down for the count and the heroes can move on to World 4.
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam[]

Lemmy rolling a Large Circus Ball at the heroes.
Large Circus Balls are seen again in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. In this game, they appear during the battle with Lemmy Koopa, Iggy Koopa, and Morton Koopa Jr.. During the battle, Lemmy may leave the arena only to come back from behind rolling a Large Circus Ball towards Mario, Luigi, and Paper Mario. He immediately rolls over Iggy and Morton Jr. as he chases the heroes. As Lemmy is chasing the heroes on his massive Circus Ball, they will have to use Paper Mario as some kind of paper boomerang and hit Lemmy, Lemmy will attempt to toss Bob-ombs at the heroes to stop them which they must avoid, if Lemmy hits the plumbers, they will suffer heavy damage however if they hit Lemmy, Lemmy will lose control of the ball, start rolling with it, and take damage everytime he hits the ground as the Large Circus Ball rolls until the battle cuts back to the main arena.
Trivia[]
- The Large Circus Balls in New Super Mario Bros. Wii appear to have dozens of stars imprinted on them, this is changed in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam where the star patterns are the same as that of a regular Circus Ball.
