Lake Orangatanga is the first world from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, set in the Northern Kremisphere. It's levels are primarily located around the large lake in the center of the map. To access Lake Orangatanga, the player must visit Funky's Rentals and use a boat to reach the path leading to this world. The world is followed by Kremwood Forest.
Design[]
This world is bright and filled with vegetation. Lake Orangatanga is in the center of the map. The levels consist of boardwalks, mills and a snow level.
The Brother Bear inhabiting this world is named Barnacle. He has a passion for diving and he keeps a Banana Bird in his shack. He lives on a small island in the center of the lake.
Levels[]
Lakeside Limbo[]
This level features many Kobbles and Ellie the Elephant. It is a rather simple level designed to make the player comfortable with the controls & making them familiar with an Animal Buddy. It takes place on a long boardwalk.
Doorstop Dash[]
The concept of levers and closed doors is introduced. To proceed in the level, the player must pull down a lever and then rush through the door, before it drops down and closes the path again. It is set inside a large mill.
Tidal Trouble[]
A level similar to Lakeside Limbo, but more athletic and with more enemies in your way.
Skidda's Row[]
Skidda's Row is the first snow level in the game. Dixie and Kiddy Kong slip and slide through a small frosty village covered in snow. Here, the player first encounters Skiddas, purple variants of Kobbles.
Murky Mill[]
Once again located inside a mill, this dark place must be explored by transforming into Ellie the Elephant. The main obstacles in this level are Sneeks, which will scare Ellie upon sight.
Boss level: Belcha's Barn[]
The first boss level is located in the barn southwest of Lake Orangatanga. The boss here is Belcha, an oversized burping barrel.
