Kuromames (Translated into English as "Black Bean") are enemies which appear in Super Mario 64.
Physical description[]
Kuronames appear as a black beanlike ball that appears perfectly motionless until Mario approaches at which point it expands twice Mario's size and spits a homing fireball.
In Super Mario 64[]
Kuromames first appear in Super Mario 64 and shoot fire at Mario as he walks by. They do not return in Super Mario 64 DS, which instead replaces them with motionless Fire Chomps.
Trivia[]
- Kuromame is the name of a Japanese dish consisting of sweet black soybeans, which the enemy was probably named after.
