Koopook is a character that appears in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. He is a Koopa Troopa that claims is the best hide 'n' seeker around.
History[]
Koopook can only been seen after his trouble has been taken on. He challenges anyone to try and find him somewhere in Hooktail Castle. Koopook can be found in the room with the large green block behind a cage with a Life Shroom near it. After Koopook as been found by Mario, he will reward him with a Special Card that can be used at the Pianta Parlor in Rogueport. Koopook later sends an e-mail to Mario telling him to find him at the Crystal Palace (mistranslated in the English GameCube script as "Goomstar Temple").
In the remake, extra dialogue reveals that Koopook and Koops have been friends since they were kids. Koopook reveals that he and Koops used to play hide-n-seek all the time and Koops was never able to find him until now. Koopook also states it's the reason why he decided to become the "Hide-n-Seek Koopa" by dedicating his entire life to hiding. Koopook gives Mario the Special Card and leaves hoping to find an extra special hiding place wishing Koops the best. Like in the original, Koopook sends an email about him hiding at the Crystal Palace. However, he specifically challenges Koops this time as well to find him there rather than just Mario as he did in the original.
