The Koopa Master is an old Koopa Troopa who lives at the top of Pagoda Peak in Mario Party 7. If the player gives him enough coins, Koopa Master sells the player (or team on Team Mode) who climbed the mountain a star. The player must trade either 10, 20, 30, or 40 coins (depending on what number the sign above his dojo currently shows). He raises the price of a star by 10 coins after one is exchanged. However, after 40 coins, the number of coins restarts back to 10. The Star restarts back to the first price, becomes 10 coins again, and the cycle repeats (looping the star price back to 10).
Koopa Master's apprentices are the Kung Fu Koopas.
If the player reaches the Event Space in front of the gong, the Koopa Master will talk about the "gong of fate". The player can kick the gong and change the price of the star.
In the Solo Cruise version, the player or the opponent wins by acquiring one star (from Koopa Master). And the star is 100 coins. If the player or the opponent reaches Koopa Master --at the end-- with less than 100 coins, he lets them (if they can't pay for the star) roll a Coin Block. And they (the player or the opponent) gets sent back to the start until they have 100 coins for the star.
