The Kitchen is a location in Luigi's Mansion and its Nintendo 3DS version.

The Kitchen can be accessed from a door on the right side of the Dining Room. Luigi has the option to either fight Mr. Luggs or to continue straight over to the Kitchen.
In the Kitchen, there are pots and pans that fly in Luigi's direction, but Luigi can vacuum them up so that they stop appearing. Whenever Luigi enters the Kitchen while it is dark, there is a twenty percent chance of a Gold Mouse appearing. The only ghost that Luigi has to vacuum for the lights to turn on is a Flash, and it only appears if he opens the refrigerator. Aside from the Flash, Luigi can optionally have a Speedy Spirit appear by opening the dishwasher to the right of the door.
Completing the Kitchen is required because when the lights turn on, a treasure chest with the Water Element Medal appears. Collecting it allows Luigi to vacuum in a Water Elemental Ghost, which provides a limited supply of water needed to permanently extinguish the wall of flames blocking the door to the Boneyard on the left. The sink in the kitchen is one of the locations where a Water Elemental Ghost can be collected, but only once Luigi has obtained the Water Element Medal.
To the right of the sink is an oven, and if Luigi uses the effects of the Fire Element Medal on it, a Red Stone pops out. Luigi even gives a hint to this if inspecting the oven with the Game Boy Horror by saying "Aww, it's gone out. Would relighting it do any good?"
Like the other rooms, the Kitchen goes dark again during the blackout, which also gives Luigi another chance to capture the room's Speedy Spirit and Gold Mouse if he had not done this previously, before the room's lights turned on. One Gold Ghost and two Purple Punchers are encountered in the Kitchen during the blackout.
In the Hidden Mansion of PAL releases and the Nintendo 3DS remake, Luigi instead encounters two Purple Punchers and three Flashes.
