- This article is about the recurring enemy which first appears in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. For the enemy with the same North American name, see Missile Banzai Bill.
King Bills are a massive indestructible variant of either Bullet Bills or Banzai Bills. They first appear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
In Super Mario series[]
New Super Mario Bros. Wii[]
They only appear once in the game, the final level of the game, World 9-8, around halfway through the level. The level is centered around how the King Bills shoot at the playable characters, showing where they arrive from from in coin formations shaped like a large Bullet Bill. King Bills are immense in size, taking up the majority of the vertical screen.
King Bills cannot be defeated, regardless if the player has the effects of the Starman. However, any King Bills on screen when the Flagpole is touched disappears.
New Super Mario Bros. U[]
King Bills appear in the level Flight of the Para-Beetles, acting similarly to how they did in New Super Mario Bros. Wii and cannot be defeated. In this game, they are engulfed in fire.
King Bills also appeared in Boost Mode and can be defeated by tapping them using the Wii U GamePad while Mario is in Boost mode.
New Super Luigi U[]
These enemies only appear once, specifically within 3-Castle. After the underwater section with the Torpedo Ted enemies, the King Bill chases the character 2 seconds after the character exits the pipe, destroying blocks along its way.
Crossover appearances[]
Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition[]
King Bills are the final evolution of Bullet Bill and appear as bosses and in 2 cases, as a normal stage enemy. They will always use "First Strike", dealing a weaker attack when the battle starts, and attack every 2 turns. At half health, they can use "Charge", but this one is different from enemies with a skill with the same name, as it doesn't boost damage by 50%, it doubles it instead. As an ally, King Bill's main attribute is Dark, while his sub-attribute is Fire. His skill is Shield Break, which reduces the defense of all enemies to 0 for 1 turn. This skill is very handy for defeating enemies with very high defense, including but not limited to Spinies, Bob-ombs, Coin Coffers, and more. He requires Green Star Coins to skill up, and has the awakening of Attack Up, increasing all team member's attack by 4% per level.
