Kick Bombs are objects which first appear in Super Mario 3D World.
Description[]
They are basically bombs designed in the likeness of a Soccer Ball. They are usually seen being shot out of Cannons. Upon being shot out, they roll along the ground. From here, they can be kicked in any direction. Kick Bombs aren't necessarily dangerous unless the heroes are within their radius when they explode, A Kick Bomb can be kicked at objects that are normally unbreakable (such as Rock Blocks) to open the path forward or reveal hidden items such as a 1-Up Mushroom or a Green Star.
In Super Mario 3D World[]
During his battles, Bowser will toss Kick Bombs at the heroes from his vehicle the Bowser Mobile. These Kick Bombs need to be kicked back with all speed to deal damage to the Koopa King and his menacingly flashy vehicle. The Kick Bombs can deal damage to you if they detonate near you so watch out. In the second fight with Bowser, a Kick Bomb can also detonate earlier if hit by a Lava Plume. If the Kick Bombs are swiped at (whilst under the effects of a Super Bell, Lucky Bell, or Invincibility Bell) and connects to Bowser, they will do triple the damage, and could allow Bowser to be defeated in three hits instead of the usual nine.
