Jumpman

Jumpman

Jumpman is a badge that appears only in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. In the game, Jumpman gives Mario one extra point to the damage his jump attack inflicts to foes. The only downside is a pretty large one. Mario loses the ability to use his jump attacks. Mario can, however, use his jump attacks outside of battle and even still use first strikes with his jump attacks, but that is it. Jumpman is a useful badge if your Mario doesn't prefer to use hammer attacks anyway. It isn't that hard to get and its effect isn't all that bad so Jumpman is one of the best badges in the game. Charlieton , a salesman who appears in Rogueport, will sell this badge to Mario. The price for this badge is a whopping 180 coins.

Trivia

  • In contrast to the badge Hammerman, this badge is named Jumpman as Mario jumps instead of hammering and vice-versa. Jumpman is a reference to Mario's original name "Jumpman".
  • As stated above, Mario can still deal first strikes with his hammer attacks since he can jump outside of battle.
