Jonathan Jones

Template:BossSMRPGJonathan Jones (also goes by Johnny) is a character and boss that appears in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. He is the leader of the Bandana Reds and Bandana Blues and owns the Sunken Ship.

Appearance

Jonathan Jones is a shark-like character that wears a cape. He also wears a medallion around his neck and is always seen carrying an trident.

History

After hearing Mario is going after the Star Piece, Jonathan Jones orders his Bandana army to slow him down.

Mario and his team manage to defeat all of them and Jones praises Mario for his fighting spirit. After Mario defeats him in battle, Jones gives the Star Piece out of respect for Mario defeating him in battle. Jonathan Jones is seen again stopping Yaridovich from escaping into the water and says that Mario earned the Star Piece fair and square. Jonathan Jones is seen for the last time in a cameo during the end of the game. He is standing over a sunset looking at it and is also seen in the parade alongside King Calamari.

Battle

Jonathan Jones always fights alongside four Bandana Blue at the beginning of the battle. Jones also uses his trident to attack and special moves such as Diamond Saw and Skewer. If Mario and his team defeat all of his Bandana Blues, Jones will challenge Mario to a one on one fight and immediately uses the move Get Tough!.

Strategy

The one on one battle with Jonathan Jones is pretty tough so it will be wise to keep at least one Bandana Blue alive as Johnny will only force Mario into the one on one fight if all Bandana Blues are defeated. Mario should continue to hit hard with his moves while any other teammate attacks as well. Peach should be used to heal the heroes when necessary.
