Immobilized, also known as Paralysis, is a status ailment that appears in the Paper Mario series.

Paper Mario

Immobilized first appears in Paper Mario where it isn't as common as the other ailments. There are a few ways that Mario can use to immobilize enemies such as using a Stop Watch or Klevar's Time Out. Paralysis functions the as Immobilized in this game and Watt can use either her Power Shock or Mega Shock techniques to stun an enemy (or enemies in the case of Mega Shock). Immobilized will cure itself over time due to the fact the victim cannot move at all when affected.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Immobilized returns with the same effects as the previous games. Once again, using a Stop Watch is a good way to inflict Immobilized onto enemies. The newest special move, Clock Out, is another way to cause the Immobilized status to foes but must be careful to accidentally hit themselves (which immobilizes Mario and his partner) or the audience (which prevents filling up the Star Gauge).
