Illumination (formerly Illumination Entertainment) is an animation studio founded by Chris Meledandri in 2007 after he resigned from Blue Sky Studios. The studio is known for creating the Despicable Me franchise, which is currently the highest-grossing animated film franchise of all time.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie[]
Illumination collaborated with Nintendo to make a film based on the Mario franchise. It was put off on multiple times until they confirmed the release date of the movie on April 5th, 2023, previously April 7th and December 21st, 2022.
