The Ice Skate is a power-up item featured in Super Mario 3D World and its remake Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury.

At first, a Skating Goomba is always found riding an Ice Skate, but Mario or another character can defeat it to start riding the Ice Skate themselves. The Ice Skate is based on the Goomba's Shoe from Super Mario Bros. 3 in that it is a shoe power-up inhabited by a type of Goomba at first. An Ice Skate is yellow by default, but its color changes depending on who is using it: red for Mario, green for Luigi, pink for Peach, blue for Toad, and lastly cyan for Rosalina.
While utilizing an Ice Skate, a character travels smoothly and faster across the ice. However, a disadvantage of using the Ice Skate is the inability to stop moving while in it, possibly putting the character at risk of falling down a pit. The player's character can exit an Ice Skate by crashing it into a wall.
In Super Mario 3D World / Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury[]
The Ice Skate makes its first appearance in Snowball Park. In the remake's Bowser's Fury campaign, Ice Skates also appear in Slipskate Slope.
