Ice Element Medal

The Ice Element Medal is an item in Luigi's Mansion and its Nintendo 3DS version.

Description[]

The Ice Element Medal is one of the three Element Medals, the other two being the Fire Element Medal and the Water Element Medal. The Ice Element Medal in particular allows the Poltergust 3000 to vacuum in a Ice Elemental Ghost, giving it a limited supply of ice.

Most of an Ice Element Medal's purposes are for fighting ghosts, as it can cool Miss Petunia's hot bath, freeze the individual Boos during the Boolossus battle, and expose a Blue Blaze's heart, which is protected by the element of water. The stream of ice can optionally be used to slow the movement of Boos. The only time the Ice Element Medal is not used on ghosts is when freezing the water in the Pipe Room.

In Luigi's Mansion[]

The Ice Element Medal is the third and final Element Medal obtained by Luigi. It is contained within a large treasure chest in the Tea Room, where it is revealed after vacuuming up every ghost. Like with the other two Element Medals, the effects of the Ice Element Medal are not shown in a mirror.
