Huge Fire Bars (alternatively spelt as Huge Firebars and also called Huge Podoboo Cogs) are larger variations of the Firebars found in New Super Mario Bros. U as well as New Super Luigi U and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. The Huge Fire Bars function very similarly to the Fire Bars found throughout the Castle but the attached fireballs are much larger making avoiding them a slightly bigger challenge. Huge Fire Bars are commonly found in levels such as Slide Lift Tower, Fire Bar Cliffs, and Fire Bar Sprint. They are commonly seen in large numbers as well and are connected by three spinning chains requiring some maneuvers to get around. Like the smaller Fire Bars, Huge Fire Bars cannot be destroyed in any way however, the heroes can safely phase through the Huge Fire Bars whilst under the effects of a Starman, additionally, Nabbit can also run through the Huge Fire Bars without an issue.

- The Huge Fire Bars function similarly to Giant Ball 'n' Chains, what's more is both obstacles debut in New Super Mario Bros. U and are primarily found in Superstar Road.
- Despite Fire Bars appearing in Super Mario Maker and it's two sequels, they cannot be made into Huge Fire Bars by dragging a Super Mushroom to one unlike most enemies.
