Template:Enemy Hot Lips are lava-dwelling creatures that appear in the Yoshi's Island games. They are similar to Spray Fish but unlike Spray Fish, they shoot lava out of their mouths instead of water and unlike the water, touching their lava kills you instantly. Also, unlike Spray Fish, they inflate their cheek before shooting giving you the heads up of when they will fire their lava. You can throw an Egg at them to knock them back in the Lava temporarily but victory is short lived as they always rise back out. Some Hot Lips prefer to shoot their lava across at you rather than directly in the air like a Spray Fish would. Both types of Hot Lips appear in the Museum of Yoshi's Island DS and some of the lava drops manage to leave their exhibit and to the area you are but fortunately it can't kill you.
Trivia
- The appearance of a Hot Lips in Yoshi's Island DS hasn't evolved at all from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island aside from slight graphical enhancements.
