Mario & Luigi

Hoohooros is a boss who appears in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its Nintendo 3DS remake Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey. He is seen halfway during the hike up Hoohoo Mountain. He is a very wise creature and wants to test Mario and Luigi to see if they're worthy and strong enough to advance up the mountain.

Appearance[]

Hoohoorus is a strange statue-like creature. He starts off looking angular and golden. His battle form portrays him as black and more-rounded.

Battle[]

In battle, Hoohooros mainly attacks by firing lasers at Mario and Luigi. He can also hide behind pillars to prevent Mario and Luigi from attacking him directly. Also, every time a pillar is destroyed, the boss will emerge with a small ellipsis over his head and then moves over and creates another one in the fallen pillar's place, although if the Bros. broke the pillars that Hoohooros wasn't hiding behind in the first place, he becomes vulnerable to attack. Upon losing half his health or more, Hoohooros attacks more frequently. Considered to be a level 6 monster, Hoohooros has 45 hit points, an attack strength of 28, a defense strength of 30, a speed of 32, and gives 30 Experience and drops 20 Coins and a single 1-Up Mushroom upon defeat. His reactions to the Firebrand and Thunderhand and attacks that use them are normal, and the chances of giving him a Stat-Down are 30%, Burn is at 30% chance, and Stun is at 30% chance.

Tips[]

The easiest way to defeat Hoohooros is to destroy both pillars before he has a chance to hide behind the other. Other than that, it's simple to defeat him using Splash Bros. and Knockback Bros..
