Hefty Goonie

Hefty Goonies are an obese variant of Goonies featured in the Yoshi's Island series. They first appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and return in Yoshi's New Island. Due to their weight, Hefty Goonies barely have the capability to fly, and instead bounce on the ground. Hefty Goonies have a wingless variant named Bowling Goonie, and while some already start out as such, a Yoshi can turn a Hefty Goonie into a Bowling Goonie by either throwing an egg at a Hefty Goonie or by putting it in its mouth and then spitting it back out.

A Hefty Goonie makes a cameo appearance in the background of Lakitu's stage in Tetris Attack. There is a Hefty Goonie boss in Yoshi's Island DS, although Hefty Goonies themselves are not encountered as enemies.
