Heat Stroke is a 1 vs. 3 minigame that appears in Mario Party 5. It takes place on a planet in outer space that contains lava, similar to the sun. Its name comes from a medical condition that involves the sweat glands no longer working properly.
Gameplay
In the middle of the planet, there will be a giant column of octagonal platforms with a giant Star design in the center. One character will be floating on a pair of balloons with a mallet, while the other three characters will remain on the giant column of platforms. The character carrying the mallet must try and knock off the opposing characters that are on the platform. Every time they miss a character, the column of platforms will start to get smaller. The character with the mallet can also perform a fake swing to confuse the characters on the platform. As the mini-game progresses, Podoboos will begin to fall on the platforms. If a character touches a Podoboo, they will be eliminated from the mini-game. The mini-game ends if either all the characters on the platform are eliminated, or the opponent with the mallet fails to knock all the players off the platform or when time runs out.
