Heat Stroke is a 1 vs. 3 minigame that appears in Mario Party 5 and Mario Party: The Top 100. It takes place in outer space and goes above the Sun. Its name comes from a medical condition that involves the sweat glands no longer working properly.

Gameplay[]

In the minigame, there will be a giant category of octagonal platforms located above the Sun. The solo player floats on a pair of balloons (to keep them from falling into the Sun and burning them) holding a hammer. The three players remains on the giant category of platforms. The character carrying the mallet must try and knock off the opposing characters that are on the platform. Every time they miss a character, the category of platforms gets smaller. The character (with the hammer) can also perform a fake swing to confuse the three opponent players on the platform. As the mini-game progresses, Podoboos will begin to fall on the platforms. If a character touches a Podoboo, they will be eliminated from the mini-game. The mini-game ends if the three opponent players on the platform are eliminated, or the solo player (with the hammer) fails to knock all the players off the platform, or when time runs out.

If the solo player wins, they do their victory dance. If the three players win, they stand on the final platform doing their victory dances. And the solo player --who loses-- the balloons (holding the player in the air to prevent them from falling into the Sun) pop, causing them to finally fall into the Sun and burn.
