Heart Ball is Princess Peach's Star Skill in Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Super Sluggers.
Usage
Mario Superstar Baseball
During her pitching, Peach will cause the ball to disappear momentarily into scattered hearts. Just before it cross the home plate, it reappears, meaning that hitting it a challenge. When Peach is batting, and the ball is hit as a high fly ball, this skill also has the same effect. The ball reappears shortly before landing on the ground, making it a challenge for fielders to catch it.
In Challenge Mode, in order for Peach to learn how to pitch the Heart Ball, the player must purchase the Lovely Heart.
Mario Super Sluggers
This game marks the second appearance of this Star Pitch, and it retains the same functions as in the predecessor. Upon usage, Peach will scatter hearts around the ball, causing confusion to the batter. It is still, however, possible to get a ball using this move, instead of a strike.
Nomenclature
- In Japanese, this move is called ハートボール, which translates to Hāto Bōru, meaning "Heart Ball".
- In Spanish, this move is called "Bola Corazón", which also means "Heart Ball".
