The Headbonk is move used commonly by Goombas in the Paper Mario series. This is also the basic technique of Goombario and Goombella.

Usage[]

From Partners[]

When a Headbonk is used, Goombario and/or Goombella will charge at the enemy and headbonk them. With the Action Command, this move can strike twice in one turn. The Headbonk can damage airborne enemies and flip over shell enemies (except for spiked enemies).

From Enemies[]

When Goombas use Headbonks, they will target either Mario or his partners (in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door only) for 1 point of damage. The attack power is doubled from Spiked Goombas due to their spiked helmets. Guarding this attack will result in no damage, however. In Super Paper Mario, there is even an enemy called a Headbonk Goomba that attacks with a Headbonk instead of simply walking into Mario like with the normal Goombas.
