Head Count is a microgame in the WarioWare series that debuted in WarioWare: D.I.Y., hosted by Orbulon. It is later brought back for WarioWare Gold, where 9-Volt supplants Orbulon as its host.

Layout[]

The microgame's setting involves a house that persons may enter and exit. In D.I.Y., there was a green floor, but the floor is white and therefore camouflaged with the background in Gold.

Gameplay[]

The player has to count how many persons are in the house when the scene ends. Some persons will enter the house, while others may exit. Some may enter or exit by going through the front door, while others slide down/climb up the chimney. The player has to select how many persons that remain inside at the end of the cutscene. In D.I.Y., no more than six can remain within the house at the end, and the player must tap one of seven buttons with numbers from zero to six. In Gold, the player has to manually write the number.

Difficulty Levels[]

  • Level 1 (Easy): The persons who enter the house remain inside.
  • Level 2 (Hard): Some persons may leave the house some time after entering.
  • Level 3 (Expert): A person may go into the house when someone else is leaving.

Behind the Scenes[]

Etymology[]

The microgame's name comes from a head count, where someone counts how many persons are present.
