A Hanging Blow Hard is an enemy which appears in Yoshi's Island DS.

Physical description[]
Hanging Blow Hards bear a similar appearance to its parent species, Blow Hard, and an even closer one to its relative Drool Hard. Hanging Blow Hards have a light green body with yellow spots. The only difference a Hanging Blow Hard has from Drool Hard is a base from which its head stems, as it enables the Hanging Blow Hard to stick to a ceiling, as well as a long, light yellow tongue that can be used in the same manner as a swinging vine.
Behavior[]
Baby DK can swing from the tongue of a Hanging Blow Hard. While a Hanging Blow Hard's tongue is being held on to, it releases Needlenoses that descend down to the Yoshi and Baby DK and explode upon reaching the bottom. As such, a Hanging Blow Hard's tongue must be swung from quickly.
In Yoshi's Island DS[]
A Hanging Blow Hard is first encountered in Up the Creek. Two of them can be found in the botanical-enemy exhibit of the Island Museum, where the Hanging Blow Hard to the right has its tongue swing faster than the Hanging Blow Hard on the left.
