Grunt (Yoshi's Island series)

A Grunt is an enemy in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. They are a relative of a Bandit who wear spiked helmets instead of masks. They appear in the levels, Marching Milde's Fort and Scary Skeleton Goonies!. All they do is to run back and forth. A Yoshi can knock off their helmets by throwing an egg at them, exposing the Grunt's lemon-shaped head. Whenever a Grunt is missing its helmet, it looks embarrassed and frantically runs back and forth. A Yoshi can swallow a Grunt and convert it into an egg. Somehow, whenever Yoshi spits a Grunt back out, it always gets back its spiked helmet.
