Mario Party
Not to be confused with Event Space, known as a "Green Space" in some appearances.

Green Spaces are a recurring object in the Mario Party series. They first appear in Mario Party 5.

Description[]

Green Spaces are a type of space that, unlike most other spaces, do not cause any event to occur whenever a character lands onto one. Just like with landing on any other space, landing on a Green Space ends the character's turn, followed by the character starting theirs.

In Mario Party series[]

Mario Party 5[]

Green Spaces exclusively appear in Card Party mode.

Mario Party 9[]

Unlike their debut appearance, Green Spaces appear on every regular boards, although their effect is retained.

Mario Party: Island Tour[]

For the most part, Green Spaces retain their usual effect. An exception to this is in Bowser's Peculiar Peak, where landing on a Green Space causes whoever landed there to perform their losing animation, as the object of the board is avoid getting to Bowser first.

Mario Party 10[]

Green Spaces retain their usual effect, although like the Special Dice Block Space, landing onto a Green Space can sometimes trigger a minigame.
