The Great Lighthouse Islands are special locations that can be found in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. They contain four great lighthouses that lit Concordia. The Great Lighthouse Islands can be found in the first four seas.

History[]

Prior to the downfall of Concordia when Zokket destroyed the Uni-Tree, the Great Lighthouses lit Concordia using Connectar produced by the Uni-Tree. After Zokket destroyed Concordia, the Great Lighthouses lost their power source, and he took them over with the exception of the one in the Gulchrock Sea (although some Mettozokettoheitachi still go there to test Glohm. A budding Wattanist named Connie, with help from Mario and Luigi, would later visit these lighthouses and reactivate them using her Bonding Can.

The Lushgreen Sea's Great Lighthouse Island[]

The Great Lighthouse Island of the Lushgreen Sea can be visited after Connie goes to Florall Island and talks to the Bros. about a memory she had about a time where she and Cozette visited the place, and Cozette told her to be mindful of the Wattanist's duty. Despite making his proper debut in the Color-Full Sea, Zokket is mentioned several times on signs and by the Extension Corps According to what Arc says after his liberation from his capsule, Zokket and his forces have taken the Great Lighthouse over.

A monster called the Gobblick lurks here. When it dies, Mario and Luigi can read a note that a man named Patriarc (Arc's missing father)

The Color-Full Sea's Great Lighthouse Island[]

The Great Lighthouse Island of the Color-Full Sea has been fenced off by a barrier. It can be visited after linking Allsand Island, whereupon Connie visits there due to a memory where Cozette saved her from a Quicksand pit. The IDLE gang uses a rocket to bypass its barrier, creating a hole that the Bros. launch themselves through during their invasion.

Concordian guards appear as enemies in this area, and getting caught by their flashlights will cause the player to lose time. They cannot be battled traditionally. There are also barrels that Luigi can stuff himself into using his Luigi Logic. The Sharpcask is encountered here.

The Brrrning Sea's Great Lighthouse Island[]

The Great Lighthouse Island of the Brrrning Sea has been converted into a Glohm factory. It can be visited after Prince Chilliam and Princess Burnadette have their wedding on Heatfreeze Island and Connie relives a memory involving her getting cold whereupon Cozette gave her mittens. This Great Lighthouse Island is the most desecrated, and many of its workers have been infected with the bond-breaking Glohm virus. When she, Mario, and Luigi visit the Great Lighthouse Island, Connie gets kidnapped by the Mettozokettoheitachi that guard the place. Connie is later freed and the trio sneak through whereupon they and the Extension Corps bump into each other. At this, Shun summons the Great Lighthouse Island's guardian, a slime monster referred to as the Pipegunk.

The Gulchrock Sea's Great Lighthouse Island[]

The Great Lighthouse Island of the Gulchrock Sea lacks an underground area, and is thus the smallest. Due to its small size, Zokket thought that it was not that useful to his plans. Despite this, Zokket's minions prowl the place. Here, Mario, Luigi, Snoutlet, and Connie find notes that drop hints on Zokket's plans and even name a demonic monster called Reclusa which is said to drown Concordia in loneliness.
