The Gravitator is an invention of Dr. Crygor's which appears in WarioWare: Twisted!.

Description[]

The Gravitator has the appearance of a yellow washing machine with a red window frame, a blue handle, and a red dial that powers it on. There are four LED indicators to the left of the dial, and it illuminates light orange upon being turned on.

The Gravitator's main function is its ability to alter gravity. The Gravitator can also create bubbles that can trap an object within it. It is shown that if a Game Boy Advance is placed inside of a Gravitator, it gets converted into numerous smaller lookalike units with tilt controls and no buttons.

In WarioWare: Twisted![]

The Gravitator first appears in the game's introduction cutscene. In it, Wario goes to Dr. Crygor's Lab for assistance in getting his Game Boy Advance fixed, so Dr. Crygor throws Wario's Game Boy Advance into the Gravitator. After a short while, the Gravitator outputs a large pile of the tilt console lookalikes.

During the intro of his stage, Dr. Crygor celebrates the completion of the Gravitator, suggesting the events of his stage took place before the starting cutscene. As Dr. Crygor dances happily, the Gravitator then spews out bubbles, which envelop Dr. Crygor and many of his possessions. After Dr. Crygor's bubble pops, he says that he is a genius and proceeds to throw several random objects into the Gravitator. A close-up of Dr. Crygor dialing on the Gravitator is shown, causing four buttons on the left to light up. The player plays through Dr. Crygor's set of microgames while the Gravitator is powered on. The Gravitator is seen during the few-second intermission between each microgame, and the transitional effect features the Gravitator opening to the next microgame that has to be played.

In the ending cutscene of Dr. Crygor's stage, the Gravitator releases a giant robotic suit. In doing so, the Gravitator is bounced offscreen to the right. The robot has the same yellow color as the Gravitator. Dr. Crygor proceeds to fly around in the robot, only for it to break apart within seconds.

In the intro for Wario-Man's stage, Dr. Crygor and Wario use the Gravitator to produce more of the Game Boy Advance tilt console lookalikes, after numerous of them had been sold. Random objects are fed into the Gravitator from a conveyor belt. Wario accidentally enters the Gravitator because he was playing one of the tilt consoles while sitting on the moving conveyor belt. As a result, the Gravitator turns Wario into his own superhero form, Wario-Man.

WWT Gravitator Mecha

The Gravitator as a mecha

In the ending for Wario-Man's stage, Wario wants the Gravitator to power him up even further, so he proceeds to re-enter it, ignoring Dr. Crygor's warning that the machine is too powerful to be toyed with. For a few seconds, the Gravitator begins to shake a bit faster, and then a pair of rocket launchers emerge from the bottom and blast Wario straight upward, outside of Dr. Crygor's Lab, and into outer space. Suddenly, the Gravtiator transforms into a purple, demon-like mecha with silver horns, eyes that are red in the outer circle and yellow in the inner circle, silver joints, and a large, red spike on each shoulder. While flying around, Wario comes across some of the WarioWare, Inc. employees riding a new UFO, and tries to get their attention by showing off his new suit. The UFO identifies the mecha suit as a foreign robot and fires upon it, breaking it into pieces and revealing only Wario, still as Wario-Man, and the Gravitator, as both of them fall back down to Mushroom Earth.
