Grand Canal is the initial board in Mario Party 7. Unlike other boards in single play in Mario Party 7, this board retains the classic go around the board looking for Toadsworth and buying a star for 20 coins. Every five turns there is a chance that Bowser will destroy the bridges, replacing them with his own, which have all Bowser spaces on them. They are fixed after a certain amount of turns. Any character spaces on the bridges that were destroyed will not be replaced when the bridges are fixed.
