The Golden Diva is the final boss in the game Wario Land 4. She is the true owner of the Golden Pyramid and all its treasures. The Golden Diva appears to be a rather large ghostly lady in a fur-lined cloak and holding a fan, while her face is covered by a doll-like mask way too small for her large head. The Golden Diva also wears the jewels kept by the four previous bosses in the game(the Earrings, Crown, Necklace and Bracelets). In her encounter, the Gold Diva immediately abducts the black cat before engaging the fight.
Gameplay[]
The Golden Diva contain different phases, more than most bosses and require more than just her HP being depleted to be done.
- Phase 1: She starts as covering her face with the fan and spawning 4 versions of her mask that rotate around herself, one of the masks will eventually chase Wario, trapping him and floating him around, dealing no damage but wasting time. Wario must elbow-hit the mask and throw it at her Fan, doing so with all four masks will break it and leave her open to take actual damage to her HP.
- Phase 2: the larger portion of the battle, she spawns randomly different objects to force Wario into hitting her mask somehow, such as a hammer that Wario must throw upwards to hit himself and achieve the Spring Wario transformation to ram himself, a blue sphere that Wario can elbow-hit to cause it to bounce off the walls or a black egg that must be caught before hitting the ground and thrown into her face. Each time she takes damage, her mask changes into many comical expressions and her HP slowly depletes.
- Phase 3: Her mask is fully broken and she enters an enraged mode, attempting to slam herself on Wario anytime she passes above him, breaking the ground to reveal spikes underneath. Wario must quickly elbow-hit her face before there is no ground left to walk on.
- Phase 4: In her last Health Point, her mouth will be left wandering around, dealing no damage whatsoever. Wario can quickly dispose of it whichever way he sees fit, freeing the black cat and ending the fight.
Tips[]
- The weapons purchased at the store prior to the boss fight will Deplete the Golden Diva's HP but she will still go through all her necessary phases to the end.
- Oddly enough, in this moment it is revealed the black cat is also the salesman, as when the weapon have done it's work, the salesman is transformed into the cat. Without purchasing any weapon at the store, the black cat simply appears in the battlefield.
- Her final form is a good opportunity for those curious to see how the game ends with fewer and fewer treasure and can just sit back and wait for the chests to fly away since the Diva's remaining part won't harm Wario whatsoever.
