Gold Rings are objects that appear in New Super Mario Bros. 2. When Mario or Luigi jumps through a Gold Ring, all the enemies change into golden enemies for a certain amount of time. When an enemy is defeated, a small amount of coins will be collected and thrown Koopa shells make trails of coins. Some enemies, like Bullet Bills and Banzai Bills leave trails wherever they go.

The Gold Ring has a striking resemblance to the Rings of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. They serve a similar function especially to Warp Rings.
