Template:Enemy Gold Beanies are rare subspecies of a Beanie found in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.

Appearances

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga

Gold Beanies can be found in Chucklehuck Woods and Oho Ocean. They are rare, and appear at random when a Pestnut is defeated with a Hammer. They give the player much more experience and coins than normal Beanies if defeated. They attack by charging, though this can be countered by jumping on their head as they advance.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team

Gold Beanie is rarer in this game. They appear in the Dream World, at the location where one Giant Boss is fought or going to fight it. They flee from battle if a Luiginary attack is used, expect if they trip after the attack. On their first turn, they cannot flee. Gold Beanies have almost the same stats as Gold Eggs but can attack their enemies in the battle, and have power and speed stats. Normal Beanies do not appear in this game (except if one of Gold Beanie's attacks is counted), so, it is not confirmed a special Beanie, but it is still a special enemy, as it almost always drops a gift, and a huge amount of coins. Gold Beanies also drop Deluxe beans that raise stats even further. Dreamy Brickle tries to hunt one in the Dreamy Mushrise Park.

Attacks

Gold beanies have three attacks. First, they can attack by charging in a circle. This can be blocked with a jump. Their target can be identified by which direction the Gold Beanie charges from, counter-clockwise for Mario and clockwise for Luigi. Their second attack has them try to headbutt their target. However, the bros. can block the Gold Beanie's charge with their hammer. The third attack is one of the few Chase Attacks that can be wielded by a non-boss enemy. The Golden Beanie and many normal beanies charge from the background. The normal beanies have only one hit point, but their stats match the Gold Beanie's stats otherwise. The one that is hiding the Gold Beanie will sparkle. The bro. who is line up with that one must stomp on him to damage the Gold Beanie, shocking the Gold Beanie's buddies. Gold Beanies will trip if their attacks are countered properly.
