Gold Bar x3 has no particular purpose, but it is primarily similar to Gold Bars. Mario can purchase a Gold Bar x3 at Deepdown Depot for 350 coins or at the Pianta Parlor by paying 234 Pianta Tokens with the Silver Card. Another way for Mario to obtain a Gold Bar x3 is by buying 300 items from a store. A Gold Bar x3 can be sold for 300 coins.

Super Paper Mario[]

Gold Bar x3 reappears as an item. Mario can now purchase them from the shop in Flopside, but the Gold Bar x3 otherwise has little difference from its previous appearance.
