- This article is about the level goal in Super Princess Peach. For the level goal in Nintendo Land, see Goal Gate (Nintendo Land).
- Not to be confused with Giant Gate.
Goal Gates are an object in Super Princess Peach.
Description[]
A Goal Gate is the level goal found at the end of every level in Super Princess Peach, except boss levels. Princess Peach can enter a Goal Gate to complete the level she is in. Aside from this, a Goal Gate also consists of a roulette, which cycles between a Turnip, Mushroom, Flower, and Star. When Peach jumps at the roulette, Coins are rewarded depending on which of them the roulette stops on: a Turnip rewards one coin to Peach; a Mushroom rewards 10 coins; a Flower rewards 30 coins; and a Star rewards 50 coins. If the Goal Gate lands on a Star seven levels in a row, a peach is shown instead, and it rewards a lucky number of 777 coins to Peach.
Goal Gates are possibly inspired by the GOAL! Rings introduced in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, but the Goal Gate's use of power-up items is similar to the Goals found in Super Mario Bros. 3.
Trivia[]
The Goal Gate is a mix of a Roulette Box and a Giant Gate.
