- Not to be confused with Pogo-a-Go-Go, a similarly-titled minigame introduced in Mario Party 7 that also features pogo sticks.
Go-go Pogo is a single-player minigame which appears in Mario Party Advance.
Layout[]
The minigame takes place in an underground area with a pool of lava and several Warp Pipes as platforms.
Gameplay[]
The player's character—either Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, or Yoshi—has to reach the goal line by using a pogo stick. Aside from the use of a pogo stick, the minigame plays like a 2D side-scrolling level in a Super Mario game, as the character has move forward while avoiding hazards, which include falling into the lava, touching a Podoboo, or being bitten by a Piranha Plant that emerges from a green Warp Pipe. At first, a Piranha Plant's lips emerge from the pipe, and a way to tell if it fully emerges from its pipe is if the Piranha Plant gnaws. If the player's character touches any of the hazards, they lose, but if reach the end, they win.
In Shroom City and Mini-Game Attack, the player's character has 60 seconds to reach the end of the course. If time runs out, they lose. A shorter course is used in the former mode, whereas Mini-Game Attack uses the longer course that is also in Play Land.
