A Giant Pillar (also called a Screeching Pillar) is a much larger version of the Screaming Pillar found in Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. It only appears in the levels Canopy Cannons and Crushing Columns, Giant Pillars have the same attacks as a Screaming Pillar, (falling down on DK and Diddy as they approach) but they are also indestructable and will instantly kill DK and Diddy upon contact.
Giant Pillars also appear in Mario Kart 7's DK Jungle and it's Mario Kart 8/Mario Kart 8 Deluxe counterpart and replaces the Screaming Pillars. Their functionality remains the same as the Screaming Pillar and is unchanged.
