Biography[]
Giant Birdo saw Mario, Luigi, Toad and Princess Toadstool traveling through the Land of Ice. She swooped down and grabbed Toad, mistaking him for her lost baby, Cheepy.
Flying to her home atop a tall mountain, she proceeded to drop a protesting Toad in a crib and begin to smother him with kisses, glad to have found her missing "baby". Ignoring Toad's claims that he is not her baby, Birdo proceeded to answer a nearby ringing phone and told the caller, the Missing Bird Bureau, that she no longer needed them to search for Cheepy, as she had already found him. Hanging-up the phone, she attempted to give Toad more kisses and hugs as he frantically ran away.
She caught Toad and force-fed him a bottle of milk. Toad attempted to claim to Giant Birdo. She ignored Toad's claim and reminded herself about "Cheepy's" flying lessons. She grabbed Toad and proceeded to fly through the air, attempting to reach 30 000 feet. Giant Birdo dropped Toad, who managed to survive the fall by using his mushroom cap as a parachute. After Princess Toadstool and Toad returned the real Cheepy to the mother, Giant Birdo aided Mario and Luigi in their battle against King Koopa and his Koopa Troop and Flurry.
After King Koopa left the Land of Ice, Giant Birdo invited Toad, Mario, Luigi and Princess Toadstool to her home for lunch. In the end, Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool and Toad fled from Mother Birdo and Cheepy's house after realizing that their "lunch" were large talking worms.
