Ghost in the Hall is a 4-player minigame in Mario Party 7. Due to its nature as a free-for-all minigame, it has to be selected from the minigame roulette wheel when all four players land on a space of the same colour.
Layout[]
The minigame involves a haunted mansion whose layout changes between playthroughs, but there is always a red carpet at the north end which serves as the finish line and a path from the starting point at the south to the finish line.
Gameplay[]
Characters must choose certain pathways to get to the goal, which is a wide pathway with a red carpet. Some paths contain Red Boos that force the character to go in the opposite direction, while others contain doors that open, stunning the character. However, there is always a path leading to the end. The first character to reach the goal wins. There is a horizontal red carpet stretching from the west end to the east end of the mansion halfway through.
Flavor text[]

Behind the scenes[]
Etymology[]
The minigame's name comes from the 1989 manga Ghost in the Shell and "hallway."
Trivia[]
- The advice claims that the Red Boos stun the player and closed doors merely slow them down; however, closed doors actually stun the player, while Red Boos force them to backtrack. Additionally, the Red Boos are called "pink boos."
- Even if you select Boo or Dry Bones, they will still get scared by the Boos.
