Get the Lead Out is both a 4-player and a Duel minigame which appears in Mario Party DS.

Gameplay[]

The objective for each character is to push out the most lead from their mechanical pencil to draw out the longest straight line on a graph paper. They have ten seconds to push out as much lead as possible.

Each character's pen pushes out led of a different color, being red, blue, green, and yellow respectively. The upper screen displays an oval-shaped meter for each character, and they consist of ten bars that indicate the force in which a character pushes out the led—the four lowest bars can be filled light green, the two above can be yellow, with another two above being orange, and lastly the two uppermost bars can be filled red. The meters can be distinguished from the character icons at the bottom and their border, which is the same color as the lead that they push out.

When the ten seconds are done, the in-game camera is adjusted to focus on the graph paper, on which the length of each character's line is measured, in centimeters. Whoever pushes out their lead the farthest wins.
