Georgette Jelly

Georgette Jellies are enemies featured in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its remake Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. They are jelly blobs that slowly move on the ground.

Georgette Jellies only appear in Sluggy The Unshaven's Fort. Here, they try to hurt Yoshi if he makes contact with one. If Yoshi is to jump on a Georgette Jelly, it will splatter on the walls for a few seconds before rematerializing. Despite being made of goo, Georgette Jellies are actually quite sturdy as they can't be beaten with egg tosses or swallows however, Yoshi can still swallow one to spit it back out. With this trick, these creatures make good makeshift projectile as they curl up into a hard ball able to plow through most enemies. The only way to beat a Georgette Jelly is to either use a Winged Cloud item when near one or spit it at a Dangling Ghost.

Georgette Jellies are one of the few enemies from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 to not reappear in Yoshi's New Island.
The way Georgette Jellies reform after being stomped is similar to that of a Dry Bones, a recurring enemy from the mainline Mario games.
